Hit the Mats!

On behalf of the South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association, WELCOME!!

The goal of the SDWCA is to promote a climate by which young athletes will be able to excel as wrestlers and citizens by obeying all rules, declaring sportsmanship as a foundation and encouraging unity of a team atmosphere.  All coaches, parents and club members should also help to foster this attitude!

It is our belief wrestling is the oldest and greatest sport known to human kind.  Wrestling is a sport of individual uniqueness which also allows for a special team bond. Wrestling teaches a tremendous amount of self discipline, responsibility for your body and its actions along with great will power. Wrestling unifies people, allows for life-long friendships, thus it is our belief our sport will help to develop capable, well intentioned and well-rounded individuals!
