Helpful Hints Knowledge is gained and shared everyday, and in order to grow and succeed
as an athlete, one must listen and learn on an everyday basis. Below is a
list of helpful hints to aid you in everyday life as well as in athletic
competition.
To reduce your risk of developing skin irritations, make
sure to shower immediately after working out.
Always make sure to show your coach and/or trainer
anything that looks out of the ordinary on your skin. Treat problems
immediately to make sure it doesn't get inadvertently spread to teammates
or competitors.
Launder workout clothes each time you use them. Dirty
clothing can lead to skin problems.
Try to get to practice 5-10 minutes early and stay 5-10
minutes after to work on things that you specifically need to improve.
This extra time helps athletes focus more on their own technique more so
than during regular practice where drills are best suited for a whole
team.
Make sure to clean out the inside of your headgear often.
Where it touches your face needs to be washed out regularly to prevent
bacteria build-up which can be transmitted to your skin.
